This Tutorial will guide you through the Unbranding and Unlocking
Process for a Sony Ericsson T637 Using div_lpt 3.1/4.0
To unbrand your T637 you will need to download the following files (you must
register and login before dowloading these files):
Before starting the process make sure you have: 1.) your terminator
dongle plugged into your printer port, and usb port.
2.) userport
installed and running. If you used the auto-installer then it should be
installed for you. If you didn't then copy the userport.sys file to your
c:windowssystem32drivers folder. Once it's copied there, then run userport.exe
and hit start twice (first time nothing happens..second time it says "driver
already started")
3.) your phone is turned OFF and NOT plugged into the
terminator dongle cable. It doesn't matter if the sim card is in the phone or
not.
Now the steps to unbrand your T637: 1.) Open
DIV31_Laser_850-1800-1900.exe 2.) Select T630 from the model drop down
list 3.) Click the Flash Tab and check the "Write GDFS" option. 4.)
Double click the field next to it and browse to and select the
T637_GDFS_Uncustomized file. 5.) Plug your phone into the terminator dongle
and then hit "do selected jobs" 6.) wait for the process to end, this will
take about 5-7 minutes total. 7.) Once operation is successful unplug the
phone from the dongle and power it up. 8.) perform a master reset on the
phone. (this is found under settings in the phone's menu, you will need the
phones security code, it should be 0000 unless you've changed it)
That's it! Your phone is no longer branded! and if you got your phone from
ATT you will notice that you don't have that ANNOYING Mmode button in place of
the "more" Button!
Steps to Unlock the T637: This assumes you already have
div_lpt open and running. And that your phone is turned off and unplugged from
the terminator dongle.
1.) Make sure you've got the "unlock" tab selected. 2.) Check "clear sp
locks" 3.) plug phone into terminator dongle. 4.) Click "do selected
jobs" and wait for the process to end successfully. this should take about
3-5 minutes.
That's it! your phone is now unlocked and ready for use with any sim
card.
Enjoy your newly unbranded and unlocked phone!
Thanks and good luck! --Corey
